Man returns library book 47 years later! Very nice thought and the check was also a nice addition. I probably would have either kept it or taken the library jacket off and donated it to the library. :o)
I bought The Picture of Dorian Gray at the library for all of .50. I know the major idea of the book but still have not been able to sit down and read it. My problem is that when I find time to read - I'm too tired to do it. Vicious cycle!
I won't say that I HATE to cook but I don't love it either. It's just one more thing to have to plan and think about. I find myself buying those cookbooks in the grocery store check out line to get new ideas. For the most part, they do have some good ideas and considering I'm not creative in the kitchen, they take some of the stress out of dinner. Needless to say, I need help. I look for things online and in magazines, etc. I ran across this site for famous recipes that I'm thinking of getting. I used to go to the top secrets site but it doesn't seem to be putting in recipes from places I actually eat. Wish my family luck. :o)
My baby sister is getting married in a couple of months. Wow! She doesn't seem old enough but she is. I flew back home this past weekend so our mom could fit me for my brides maid dress - she's making them all. I'm not sure how it happened but when I got married - 12 yrs. ago - I didn't really have a say in what the ceremony was going to be like. I picked the colors and that was about it. My mom and aunt (who does weddings) did it all. Every now and then I would think that it would have been nice to be involved. That all changed this weekend. We - my mom, aunt and sister, spent about 6 hours figuring out the center pieces. It took 2 days for my feet to get over it! Lesson learned - I have 2 daughters and plan to get all the wedding tips and easy way outs as possible. Luckily I have at least 10 years to prepare for the first. :o)
If you are a HP fan, then you probably already know that you can pre-order book #6. I personally don't believe in the whole pre-order thing - especially for movies but to each his own. If you haven't discoverd the world of Harry Potter - you've been missing out! You still have time to catch up before the new one comes out.
I like magazines - I just don't have time to read them. Also, when I see and article that interests me, I end up being disappointed with the information because it's usually either not at all informative or just regurgitated stuff I read years ago.
